Barehams Yard – Clare, Suffolk
This site comprised two vacant but llisted Victorian houses and a 2-storey former workshop.
The workshop was in a very dilapidated state and working with structural engineers we proposed a virtual rebuild that incorporated a change-of-use conversion to form 3 small dwellings. In addition we secured consent for modernising and extending the Victorian houses
Due to the relatively cramped nature of the site, the new dwellings were proposed as ‘upside-down’ with bedrooms on the gorund floor and an open-plan vaulted living area above.
