PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL
Replacement dwelling –West Suffolk
Until early 2007 the original house on this site was a largely dilapidated, narrow, 3-storey structure with a number of vacant attached outbuildings.
The owners were keen to replace the non-listed building with a new home that combined traditional country-house aesthetics with modern and inventive twists.
The design development process led us to create a large and versatile house arranged over three floors incorporating vaulted rooms, two-storey glazed screens, internal balconies and a hidden roof terrace.
Managed directly by the client the final house has been a labour of love with every detail being carefully planned from uniquely cast brick-vents & manhole covers to an internal library accessed by a secret door.
